We’re updating our facility to better accomplish our mission:
Share Christ t Serve Others
Beginning in the summer of 2020, the project includes refreshing our worship space, expanding meeting and visitor areas, and providing better accessibility throughout the buildings.
These projects will allow us to provide an efficient facility for guests and members, and to continue to welcome more brothers and sisters into the church.
Built in the 1960s, the Pacific Hills sanctuary and main building have seen minor renovations over the years. The incredible pipe organ underwent an update and repairs in 2019. The Reredos was installed in 2004. The other stained glass windows in the sanctuary were commissioned to renowned artist Gabriel Loire in 1968.
The educational wing was built in 1961. This building holds our offices, classrooms, and Acker Hall, our fellowship area. It is also home to Lamb of God Preschool (the preschool will not be renovated).
Funding for the renovations comes primarily from the "Building Together...Forward in Faith" campaign, and bequeaths to the congregation. The "Forward in Faith" fundraising effort with the LCMS Nebraska District allows our members to participate in fundraising for District projects, while providing guidance in this effort. The Building Together campaign helped to renovate the District offices and the University Lutheran Chapel in Lincoln.
