Thank you to all that joined us for a Monumental VBS on July 17-21, 2023. We had a great time learning about Jesus through stories, crafts and games. Here are some thoughts and pictures from our Vacation Bible School last week.
- Day 1 - What a fantastic first day of VBS. We were introduced to Joseph and were reminded that God loves us, especially in His Son, Jesus!
- Day 2 - Another fantastic day of VBS. Today we learned about Joseph and Potiphar and his dreams. We also learned of his imprisonment and how God goes with us everywhere and so we need not fear or be afraid. Jesus faced even more than Joseph. He faced death for us ... and so we definitely do not need to fear or be afraid.
- Day 3 - We had a blast at VBS. We learned about Joseph and Pharoah and Joseph's dreams. We learned how Joseph became 2nd in command in all of Egypt and how God used him to provide for the people. Most importantly we learned how God is in charge and how he provided for everyone's eternal deliverance in Jesus.
- Day 4 - Today we had a blast at Monumental VBS. We learned about the most important week in the life of Jesus, how he suffered unjustly, and died a horrible death on the cross and rose again for our life and salvation.
- Day 5 - This evening was our final night of VBS. What a great time we had learning about Joseph and his brothers and the outcome of the story. Joseph received his brothers again and said, “You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.” This is so like Jesus. We intended to harm him, but God intended our wickedness for our good. Through the cross we are saved. God truly does surprise us.
